The AVerTVHD Duet is a pure HD Dual Digital TV tuner (compatible with Windows® 7) that elevates existing Home Theater PCs (HTPC) to higher levels of High Definition Digital Entertainment. Designed to receive HD Digital TV Over-the-Air (ATSC) or Unencrypted Digital Cable (Clear QAM) signals directly to computers, the AVerTVHD Duet’s single input adopts the PCI Express interface – offering a more stable, higher bandwidth transmission environment than traditional PCI buses.

The AVerTVHD Duet dual tuner includes the AVerMedia’s proprietary MediaCenter application, allowing users to watch one program while recording another, or to record two programs simultaneously.  If a PCI-E slot is available, a second tuner may be installed, allowing up to four different programs to be recorded simultaneously, while viewing any of the four programs.

The AVer MediaCenter application, which also supports all Windows Operating Systems (32 and 64 Bit), allows users experience Picture-in-Picture (PIP) features. Users can watch TV and work on the PC at the same time. Users can choose the PIP window size from 1/4, 1/9 or 1/16 on the PC screen. The Transparent PIP feature allows users to see through the Picture-in-Picture which doesn’t cover anything on the desktop.

Additional Personal Video Recorder (PVR) features for the AVer MediaCenter include Pause, Rewind and Record Live TV as well as Schedule Recordings and TimeShift.  Other features include Digital Sound, Closed Caption, HDTV quality up to 1080i.

Advanced H.264 recording compression technology allows direct recording of TV shows into 320 x 240 resolution, allowing users to upload for play on iPods, PlayStation® Portables or other compatible portable media players.
