AVerMedia Announces Digital ATSC Dual Hybrid TV Tuner at the 2004 Intel Developer Forum
INTEL DEVELOPER FORUM, SAN FRANCISCO, CA (February 17, 2004) – AVerMedia® Technologies, Inc., a global leader of multi-media convergence technology, announced today the release of the world’s first PC-based Dual Hybrid TV Tuner model A168 as demonstrated in Intel’s “Sandow” desktop concept PC platform during the Spring, 2004 Intel Developer Forum.
Recognizing the rapid convergence between the PC and consumer electronics technologies, AVerMedia developed a one of a kind dual tuner that consists of a hybrid ATSC (digital broadcast standard) plus NTSC (analog broadcast standard) tuner and a NTSC tuner, allowing dual video streams for Picture-in-Picture (PIP) capability.
The A168 is a top-quality solution that enables users to take full advantage of its recording feature and capability. The tuner lets users simultaneously watch and record two different TV programs on their PC.
