AVERMEDIA® RELEASES NEW LINE OF WINDOWS BASED SECURITY DVR BOARDS
MILPITAS, CA - ( APRIL 23, 2005) – AVerMedia® Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of digital multimedia and presentation technology, presentation and multimedia products has released a new line of Windows based DVR boards. The AVerMedia AVerDVR NV series will include the NV7000, NV5000 and NV3000.
The NV7000 is the top of the line product and is one of the only DVR boards to feature pure hardware compression. This innovative feature of hardware compression will use significantly less CPU power than the standard software compression DVR boards. Hardware compression (MPEG4) allows the surveillance system to operate quickly and efficiently, putting less strain on the host computer. The NV7000 also includes advanced features such as 16 channel video and audio synchronized recording, auto brightness control and night view, a display rate of 480 fps, and is stackable up to four cards. The included noise reduction feature significantly lessens disruptions from cables or cameras, adding sharpness and clarity to the video output.
All three of the products in the new NV series have many advanced features which add to the ease of use for business owners and homeowners alike. The system can begin recording due to motion detection, video loss or alarms as well as running continuously or on a schedule. The sensor relay system offers a variety of options providing the most immediate response to any situation. Sensor relay options include phone, email, lights, alarms and other home appliances. The products in this series are able to be viewed over a secure network connection using a PC or a PDA. These products include privacy protection that allows the user to protect areas from the entire surveillance system using black shields. For business owners, the DVR boards are all equipped with POS capabilities allowing the user to overlay a copy of fraudulent credit card information on the face of the individual using the card. The graphic user interfaces on all AVerMedia DVR boards are clear and user friendly and all have powerful search and playback options including video, event, visual, log and intelligent search modes. The NV5000 is expandable up to four cards and boasts a maximum of 240fps. The NV3000 is stackable up to four cards and boasts a maximum of 120fps.
