AVERMEDIA® ANNOUNCES THE RELEASE OF THE AVerDVR DX5000 LINUX BASED SURVEILLANCE DVR SERIES
AVerMedia launches four new Linux-based surveillance DVR solutions designed for home, business, school, government
MILPITAS, CA - (JULY 28, 2005) – AVerMedia® Technologies, Inc., the leading provider of digital multimedia and presentation technology announced today the release of four new Linux-based surveillance DVR solutions. AVerMedia AVerDVR DX5000 series combines the latest development in video capture cards with a high-performance digital video recording solution able to capture true color images and video from 1 to 16 cameras simultaneously (camera not included). Designed to use with Linux, other features include advanced Motion Detection technology, MPEG4 video compression, and easy to use GUI.
Four new DX series models are now available, from entry-level products to advanced and comprehensive surveillance solutions. The DX5300 products contain one main video card expandable with either one or three extension cards. The DX5500 products contain two main video cards with the DX5516 able to expand to two additional extension cards. All cards allow for video inputs of eight to 16 and audio inputs of four to eight. NTSC display rates and MPEG4 recording rates range between 120fps and 240fps, with PAL display and recording rates range between 100fps and 200fps.
