AVerMedia launches new 16 channel standalone surveillance DVR solution designed for home, business, school and government
MILPITAS, CA - (August 1, 2006) – AVerMedia ® Technologies, Inc., the leading provider of digital multimedia and presentation technology announced today the release of a new standalone surveillance DVR solution . The AVerMedia SA6416 is a 16 channel Standalone DVR with an embedded Windows operating system combining the functions of a high quality surveillance recorder with a multiplexer into one easy-to-use product. Featuring advanced MPEG 4 compression, 16 video inputs, three SATA removable hard drive capacity, and able to accommodate up to 6 USB external storage devices (cameras not included), the SA6416 is designed to be functional yet convenient offering easy video recording, playback, backup, search and editing features.
Other features of the SA6416 include 8 channel audio input, built-in video encryption to scramble remote video access, point of sale integration , and watermark image verification technology. Remote monitoring, recording and playback can be performed through either LAN or Internet.
The SA6416 can be connected to virtually any CCTV or LCD monitor to view video and playback, and includes and can also be monitored and controlled through web enabled PDAs and Mobile Handy Views. A central monitoring package is also offered at no additional cost , enabling users to multiple DVRs simultaneously including up to 128 channels.
