AVerMedia Introduces the 'AVerEPack300'

Designed for use by road warriors and other professionals, the new AVerEPack300 features support for ultra-high resolution VGA graphics output of up to 1,024 x 768, and offers enhanced connectivity via the addition of a standard USB port.

The AVerEPack300 is a faster, lighter, and significantly more compact alternative to the use of PCs for delivering Microsoft?PowerPoint? slide presentations or other digital graphics-based presenta-tions. Like its predecessor, it features an immediate start-up capability that allows users to begin their presentations in seconds, as opposed to the lengthy boot-up or load times normally associ-ated with personal com-puters. The versatile AVerEPack300 connects to virtually any display device-TV monitor (composite or S-Video), VGA monitor, or LCD/DLP projector-and weighs less than one pound, making it the industry's most convenient solution for portable or off-site use.

The AVerEPack300 can convert all standard PowerPoint slide presentations and digital graphics files, includ-ing PowerPoint 2000, JPG, BMP, PCX and TIF into JPG formats. It also includes a 16-slide pre-view capability for multiple image display, as well as three proprietary zoom features and three exclusive presentation features called Pointer, Spot, and SpyLight that can be used to emphasize more important onscreen material.

Slides and images in the AVerEPack300 are stored in a CompactFlash card (not included). To load images into the flash memory, users simply insert the card into the AVerEPack300, connect to the PC's USB or parallel printer port, and then copy over the specific files. Once the desired images have been downloaded, the user disconnects the AVerEPack300 from the computer, and then can then be connected to a display device. Present-ers can later cut, copy, paste, delete, hide, or reference new or existing slides or photos with the unit as required.

The AVerEPack300 also includes an infrared remote control as well as a built in touch-button control panel on the unit's top. In addition, it features a flicker control selection for sharper image display (TV-only), horizontal/vertical screen panning, four levels of brightness, and a modifiable timer delay for automatic or looped slide presentations.

The AVerEPack300 measures only 6" x 4.33" x 1.38" in size, and weighs just 0.75 pounds (base unit and remote). Accessories delivered with the unit include a 6VDC power adapter, batteries, application software, and all necessary cables. The AVerEPack300 is supported by a one-year parts and labor warranty, requires a Pentium?166 MMX or better CPU, 32MB RAM or higher, and runs on Windows95/98/2000.
