I have tried several time to network my cp300 with another teachers cp300 so that we can share lessons across classes, etc. How do you get past networks that have several passwords. For example, when I log on to our system I put in a user name and password, however the other teacher does the same. Help!

Dear customer, there are only two ways to share videos with the document camera. The way you are trying to set up the connection is incorrect.
Using the Network Feature in the Aver+ software
You can share videos between two classrooms using the Aver+ software downloadable here, http://www.averusa.com/presentation/download.asp Remember, you MUST install BONJOUR that is bundled with your Aver+ software. Video networking will ONLY work if both parties have downloaded the exact same software AND most importantly, both parties are on the same WIRED LAN LINE. only the sharing party needs to have the doc cam. please follow the instructions to share your video!
1. Start on the sharing computer, click on the "Avervision" icon on the bottom horizontal tool bar and verify you see an image.
2. Next click on "Live video sharing" located on the Left vertical toolbar
3. you will now see the setup below, enter a name for your Doc Cam, then click once on "Start Sharing" to begin sharing your video.
To confirm that your video has started sharing, look for the word "Sharing" in red on the bottom right corner of the window . At this time, you can also choose to Enable or Disable "Remote Network control", Enabling this option will allow the viewing party to annotate over your image and also control your doc cam remotely.
4. Now the viewing party just needs to also have AVER+ installed, they just need to click on "Live video sharing" located on the Left vertical toolbar Then they will see your Doc Cam name Listed under "video source" They just need to Click on the doc cam name and they will be able to see your camera video.
Using SKYPE to share videos
You can use the document camera as a webcam with SKYPE. However some doc cams can do this and some cannot. Make sure you have downloaded the AVER+ software to install all the necessary drivers.
1. Open Skype and click on "Video Call", the Doc cam should act like a web cam and start streaming your video. If your Doc cam does not start, then this doc cam is not Skype Certified. Our Engineer is currently working on updating our AVER+ software to include Skype support for more document cameras, so stayed tuned.
2. If your doc cam cannot be read by Skype, you can still share your video using the doc cam, you will just need to do so by "Screen Sharing", download the instruction guide on how to use screen sharing.
download link: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=1UPDFNZ6 1. Enter the code and click "Download" 2. Wait for countdown 3. Select Regular Download
Thank you Tech support |

Dear Tech Support,
Maybe I wasn't clear. And when did this forum become so formal? I followed these directions as per viewing instructional video ect. We both have the Aver plus software, as we both have the AVermedia document cameras. I went to share my video to her computer, I get to your #3 and I believe I have a problem. I guess I will just keep playing until I get it.

Hi jodifarbs, Your post made me laugh, but sorry you are still having issues. Sometimes there are firewalls or other IT security measures in place that block the flow of the document camera sharing/networking. You might want to check with your IT department to see if they do have these kinds of security measures in place. Sorry too this response was so formal but I guess that's tech support for you! :)
