AVerMedia to Award TWO New Document Cameras Every Month to AVerMedia Teacher Forum Members

MILPITAS, CA - (August 19, 2008)
AVerMedia® Technologies, Inc., the leading provider of digital multimedia and presentation technology, announced today the launch of the AVerVision Forum Refer a Friend Contest. Teachers and educators who are members of AVerMedia’s Teacher forum now have an additional opportunity to win a document camera by referring others to the forum. Users are encouraged to refer interested parties to the site, which is rich in classroom ideas, valuable lesson plans and useful education information on the subject of classroom technology. At the end of every month, the forum user with the most referrals will win a new AVerVision document camera.

This contest will run along side AVerMedia’s Forum Contest, launched in June, where active forum participants are randomly chosen once a month to win a document camera. Current Forum member contestants are allowed to refer as many new forum users as they wish within the contest timeframe and all relevant referrals are valid for that month only. New registrants will be asked which forum user referred them to the AVerMedia site in their online registration form. The first Refer a Friend award will be announced on September 30, 2009. All referrals between August 15 and September 29, 2008 will be eligible for the first document camera prize, while each month the referral counts start from zero.

AVerMedia’s Teacher Forum membership has reached 1200 users with registrants participating in over 100 topics. This forum is designed as a place where educators can post ideas, questions and information about document cameras and other classroom technology. As more people contribute to the forum, the resource will grow and supply even more valuable information to each user.
